" No act of kindness, no matter how small is wasted."
The celebrated saint from Kolkata laid out the edict,
" Three things in human life are important;
The first is to be kind.
The second is to be kind.
The third is to be kind."
The saint went on to say,
" I prefer you to make mistakes in kindness
than
work miracles in unkindness"
The Dalai Lama goaded us towards kindness by saying,
" Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible"
The Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi said
The apostle of peace would have smiled at these words too
" Kill them with kindness and bury them with a smile"
The above words are not to be mistaken to kill a person slowly and enjoy the success with a smile but means that floor a person with your kindness that the differences get buried with smiles around.
Harold Kushner succintly summed up the effect of kindness in these words,
" When you are kind to others,
it not only changes you, it changes the world."

Thus, it becomes clear that being kind to others in the spirit of Vasudaiva Kutumbakam is only an act of kindness to oneself. This would also aid in eliminating the negative aspects such as jealousy and take us towards a more meaningful and therefore a successful life.
